About Early On

Parents who are worried about their baby or toddler for some reason, or whose baby was born with a medical problem, can now find help while their child is still young. Many free services are available in St. Clair County.

The local Early On system provides at no charge:

  • Evaluation and assessment
  • Service coordination
  • Development of any Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)

The following services may be included in a family service plan; however, in some instances a fee may be charged to the family:

  • Family, training, counseling and home visits
  • Physical, occupational and speech therapy
  • Nursing services
  • Special instruction
  • Social work services
  • Psychological services
  • Nutrition services
  • Vision services
  • Audiology
  • Medical services (for diagnosis and evaluation)
  • Transportation to early intervention services
  • Assistive technology services and or devices
  • Other services as identified on the family service plan
