BWCAN facilitates "Intro to College 101" and "College Application Toolkits" at each high school during the academic year. The "Intro to College 101" session is aimed at younger high school students and their parents to learn about all things college — what it is, why it's important and what to do now to prepare for it. "College Application Toolkits" are designed for students getting ready to apply to college (ideal for juniors in the spring). Students and parents are welcome to attend any of these workshops, regardless of home high school.
Special-topic workshops at RESA
Each year, we put together some special-topic workshops at which students and parents can hear from experts on a particular subject. Previous topics have included the Transfer Process, Psychology Majors and Careers in IT. See the workshops we have for 2016-2017 below.
Test preparation workshops at TEC
During the fall and spring, RESA offers low-cost SAT test preparation sessions on 3 consecutive Saturdays. Students will choose from 3 content areas, and learn from teachers who are leaders in SAT instruction. See below for more information on registration, cost, and what to bring.
