Thank you to all who visited our Annual TEC Open House
Thursday, February 19, 2015
Near-record cold that closed all county schools on Thursday
didn't stop about 800 people from attending TEC's annual open
house that evening. Although that number is down from the typical
attendance of about 1,000, TEC Director Pat Yanik was pleased
with the turnout. "The people who showed up were enthusiastic
about TEC and interested in what we have to offer," Yanik said.
"We would like to thank everyone that attended last evening."
Those who missed the open house can still find out more by going
to the TEC website at www.sctec.org, email to firstname.lastname@example.org,
or call the TEC office at (810) 455-1010. Any 10th grader who is
thinking about attending TEC next year is encouraged to see

SkillsUSA Local Contest
St. Clair TEC hosted our local skills competition, the first contest held to qualify for regional, state and the National Competitions. Our students have been practicing after school and on Saturdays to prepare for this contest. We are very proud of their hard work. Thank you also to all or our staff that work with the students and help them practice for Skills. We had 122 TEC students compete in 25 contests-- where 67 of them placed and won medals. These students will go on to the Regional and/or State Competitions with their ultimate goal being the National Competition in June.
