The path to this program began with Superintendent of St. Clair County RESA, Dan Degrow. It was his desire to offer an exciting program for students talented in the art of reading and writing. This project was founded on his vision. We are grateful for his devotion to excellence. Our heartfelt gratitude also goes out to:The superintendents of each participating district, for their support of this venture. The middle school principals and teachers, for their support in selecting students and for securing the necessary parent contacts and permissions. The parents, for placing their trust in us and allowing us to take a different and more challenging approach in teaching their children the art of reading and writing. And to the students and teachers themselves, for their talent, creativity, and energy which makes being a part of this project such a joy.
