Nurse Aide Testing

The Michigan Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation Program is offered for candidates seeking the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) credential. A CNA is someone who has successfully completed the nurse aide training program (NATP) and/or the competency evaluation program (CEP), and is placed on the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry.

The Michigan Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation Program is given by Thomson Prometric and consists of a clinical skills test and a knowledge test. Candidates must pass both tests to become a CNA.
