RESA offers beginning driver training and Commercial Driver License (CDL) training to prospective bus drivers.

Beginning school bus driver training
Persons interested in earning bus driver certification may complete the required 18 hours of instruction through RESA. Beginning driver training is held every 90 days. Classes are conducted from 7 a.m to 1 p.m. daily without a lunch break.

Continuing education training
The RESA also offers ongoing training to bus drivers to maintain their certifications every two years. Drivers need six hours of training to retain certification. Classes are conducted from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

RESA offers training for transportation supervisors every two years. Classes are conducted from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes a 1/2 hour lunch break. Registration begins at 8 a.m.
The next one-day class (each class is 6 hours) will be offered in 2016.
