English Language Arts Consultant Services
Grades K–5 ELA
Jennifer's short-term goal as the ELA consultant for St. Clair County RESA is to increase teacher knowledge and expertise in teaching literacy. Her long-term goal is to help teachers of literacy become so knowledgeable and expert that their teaching materials consist of literature to read and paper to write on.
Jennifer has taught all grades K-8 and Reading Recovery. She has a bachelor's degree in language arts, and a master's degree in computer applications and additional reading endorsements.
Grade 6–12 ELA
Victoria joined St. Clair County RESA after 20 years with Algonac Community Schools. Originally employed there to teach “thinking skills” at the elementary level, she later moved to the middle school where she taught 6th-, 7th- and 8th-grade language arts. Victoria also served as a reading specialist and reading director while with Algonac schools.
Victoria was involved in the development of MI Class and is also a part of the state’s team of trainers. She has presented literacy strategies at state and national conferences. Victoria earned her bachelor's degree at Central Michigan University and her master's degree at Wayne State University.
