Early Childhood Conference

The Early Childhood Conference is a day for those who teach our littlest learners. Workshops are offered on a variety of topics including literacy, cultural sensitivity, challenging behavior, kindergarten readiness, and more. This event is open to childcare providers, preschool teachers and assistants, elementary teachers, caregivers, and parents of children ages 0-8.  

Community Baby Shower

The annual Community Baby Shower is an educational event for expectant families offering topics important to the well-being of new babies. All expectant mothers and fathers in St. Clair County, or new parents with babies under 3 months old, are welcome to attend this free educational event. Participants listen to presentations on varied topics such as growth and development, healthy foods and nutrition, preterm labor, safety, and the importance of play. Vendors from local organizations and agencies, including RESA''s Early Childhood Department will be on site to share information with parents-to-be.


Celebrate Your Child

Celebrate Your Child is a free, fun-filled day of activities designed for children ages 0-5. This event is held at the Pine River Nature Center and takes place rain or shine, so dress for the weather. Activities and features include a hike to the tree house, games and activities, storytelling, snacks, and parenting information/literature from local agencies.
