School Programs and Registration

Plan a visit with your class

The Pine River Nature Center provides hands-on science education programs for St. Clair County schools.

All of the nature center’s programs correlate with the current Michigan curriculum requirements. More than three miles of trails allow students to observe nature through direct observation and experience.

School programs are offered Monday through Friday. Half-day (9–11:30 a.m.) and full-day (9 a.m.–1:30 p.m.) programs are available. After-school programs are also offered. Start and end times are flexible.

Teachers should be prepared to split classes into groups of 5–6 students with a chaperone to lead each group in an activity.

Public schools within St. Clair County are free.

Public schools outside of St. Clair County and private schools are $5 per student up to $100 max per classroom per visit.
