Food Service

Woodland staff members know that healthy eating helps create healthy minds and bodies. The food service program supports the educational development of our students by providing healthy breakfasts and hot, nutritional lunches to all students. On-site preparation ensures that meals are served hot in compliance with federal, state and local health department regulations. All menus adhere to the guidelines of the United States Department of Agriculture.

Breakfast in the Classroom - Free Universal Breakfast

The free universal breakfast program is available to all Woodland Developmental Center students. Each student can receive a FREE breakfast and lunch each school day. Starting the day with a healthy and nutritious breakfast gives young bodies a jumpstart for the day ahead. Numerous studies show a direct correlation between eating breakfast and improved learning and overall student performance.

Summer Food Service Program

The Summer Food Service Program was created to help ensure that children in lower-income areas could continue to receive nutritious meals during long school vacations when they do not have access to the National School Lunch or School Breakfast programs.
