🚓 The City of Port Huron has donated a retired police cruiser to St. Clair TEC's new Law & Public Safety Program. The cruiser will give students authentic, hands-on training experiences. The vehicle was delivered last week by Port Huron Police Chief Brian Kerrigan and Assistant Chief Jeremy Young to the program's location at Woodrow Wilson Elementary, where the program is housed. This collaboration with the Port Huron Police Department, Port Huron City Manager James Freed, and Port Huron Schools is helping to prepare students for in-demand careers in public safety. Thank you to all of our community partners for supporting the next generation of first responders. #CTE #CareerandTechnicalEducation #PublicSafety

📚 On August 22, Early Childhood Services staff celebrated the opening of the Great Start Collaborative's newest Talking is Teaching Literacy Spaces in the Early Childhood Court waiting room. The inviting and colorful space is designed to spark parent-child interaction and turn wait time into meaningful teachable moments. The project was made possible through the partnership of the Great Start Collaborative, St. Clair County RESA, Juvenile Referee Samantha Lord, and the St. Clair County Early Childhood Court, with funding provided by a grant from MiLEAP. Our youngest friends wasted no time breaking in the new space, and we think they approve! #EarlyChildhoodLiteracy #EarlyChildhood #WeAreSCCRESA
