A HUGE #WeAreSCCRESA thank you to our friends at the Marysville Tropical Smoothie for generously donating 190 smoothies to our staff in celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week.

Staff at St. Clair TEC, Woodland Developmental Center, Creekside Learning Center, and the Next STEP Transition Program were included in the celebration. Thanks to our awesome maintenance team, the smoothies were delivered quickly to our off-site locations.

We are so grateful to community partners who help make our staff feel appreciated and supported!

Woodland students grooved into spring at last week's Move and Groove Club. Students walked the hallways at their own pace, with upbeat music playing. Some students walked independently, while others joined their friends or staff. We love seeing our Woodland students staying active and having fun! #WeAreSCCRESA

St. Clair County TEC Law and Public Safety students recently participated in hands-on vehicle extrication training with the Marysville Public Safety Department. Through this interactive exercise, students observed and assisted with scence safety, vehicle stabilization, and patient access during simulated emergency situations.

With guidance from first responders, students worked with the tools and techniques used during rescue operations, including hydraulic cutters and spreaders. They also practiced communication, teamwork, and situational awareness skills that are critical in high-pressure moments.

Opportunities like this bring classroom learning to life through real-world, hands-on experiences.

During Teacher Appreciation Week, we recognize our amazing educators who guide, support, and inspire students every day. At RESA, that work extends far beyond the classroom.

It's part of every interaction, program, and role, including teachers, instructional aides, 31n mental health providers, administrators, and support staff. Every staff member plays a role in ensuring students feel safe, supported, and capable of success. That's what #WeAreSCCRESA means in action.

Thank you to our RESA team for an incredible school year and for the difference you make in our students' lives.

A new international study confirms what St. Clair County families have known for years—reading together makes a difference. Through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library program, more than 4,200 children receive a free book each month, helping build early literacy skills, strengthen family connections, and spark a lifelong love of reading. Since 2012, over 660,000 books have been delivered right to the homes of St. Clair County children.

Today we welcomed 36 children and grandchildren of our staff for our annual Take Your Child to Work Day! It was a full day of exploration, creativity, and hands-on learning.

Our visitors had the opportunity to engage in activities such as building with Legos, experimenting with robotics, and participating in interactive Nature Center experiences. They also enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of our RESA facilities, including a stop at Superintendent Brenda Tenniswood's office, giving them a glimpse into the important work we do every day.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success. We loved sharing our workplace with the next generation!
