On Saturday, December 13, approximately 130 students competed in 31 different events at the local SkillsUSA competition held at St. Clair County Technical Education Center. Students who placed in the top three received medals and will advance to the regional competition in February.

“Our students demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication at this competition,” said Lesley Murphy, CTE Director/Principal. “The competition gives them the opportunity to showcase the career-ready skills they have been developing in their programs, and I’m proud of how they represented themselves, their home schools, and St. Clair TEC.”

More than 30 volunteers served as judges for the event, evaluating student performances and providing detailed feedback to help students continue developing their technical skills in preparation for the regional competition.
