Last week, on Take Your Child to Work Day, we welcomed a special group of visitors to our campus—our employees' children! Students spent the morning shadowing their parents and getting a behind-the-scenes look at the work happening across our organization. Each child was then challenged to come up with a way to make their parent's job easier or better. The ideas they shared were creative, thoughtful, and inspiring, proving that innovation has no age limit. Throughout the day, students also enjoyed hands-on activities and crafts. We loved sharing our workplace and seeing it through their curious minds.

Chelsea Montroy, from Marysville High School, and Nolynn Allen, from Capac High School, represented St. Clair TEC's Health Careers Program at the 2025 Michigan HOSA State Leadership Conference, held April 17-18 in Traverse City. The team competed in the Health Careers Display event, presenting their project on the role of a Labor and Delivery Nurse. 🍿Every Friday, students from Tammy Brown's classroom at Woodland Developmental Center brighten our day with their popcorn stand—serving up smiles, skills, and positive vibes. For just 50 cents a bag, staff can purchase a tasty snack paired with an encouraging message, similar to fortune cookies. Last week, students stopped by the Administration Building to deliver popcorn and positivity. Flavors vary weekly, with favorites like butter, cheddar, and sour cream & onion. Thank you to our amazing Woodland students for making Fridays extra special! #WeAreSCCRESA

WHY I BECAME A COLLEGE ADVISER: I became a college adviser because I didn't have anyone to help me transition to a post-secondary education institution. As a senior, I had no idea what I wanted to do and had to figure it out myself. Now, I have the opportunity to be that supportive figure for students, helping them feel more confident and informed in their decisions about their future."
