Last week, students at Woodland Developmental Center presented their annual holiday program to families and friends. From singing and caroling to a surprise visit from "Elvis" in a gold suit performing "Blue Christmas," the program was filled with smiles, music, and unforgettable moments. ❄🌊 St. Clair County TEC's National Technical Honor Society again participated in this year's Kiwanis Club of the Blue Water Area/Port Huron Polar Bear Plunge as part of the school's TEC Kids Care campaign. This year, they earned the title of top fundraiser for the 8th consecutive year, surpassed last year's total, and raised $4,429.54 in pledges, resulting in $2,657.72 returned directly to our TEC Scholarship Fund. Our Second Shift Academy participants recently shared their proofs of concept with local community partners. The cohort of secondary educators has been studying microplastics and exploring how hands-on, curiosity-driven experiences can deepen student learning. Building on last month's field work at Lighthouse Beach with Friends of the St. Clair River, groups presented their ideas for the real-world environmental challenge. #problembasedlearning #WeAreSCCRESA

After weeks of preparation, they competed against their peers from 14 other schools. The following six students received top honors and will advance to the Michigan State HOSA Conference in April:
