✨ Students in the Explorer class at our Next Step Transition Program are spreading kindness and brightening the world with their new micro-enterprise, "Bright Abilities." Under the guidance of teacher Karolynn Poff, students hand-pour each candle using coconut wax and essential oils while learning workplace, communication, and life skills. Last week, they set up shop in RESA's Administration Building, where they sold their candles to RESA staff. The experience helped students practice teamwork, customer service, and financial literacy while building confidence and independence. #BrightAbilities #PortraitOfALearner #WeAreSCCRESA

🎃 Woodland Developmental Center's Trunk-or-Treat event last week brought smiles, treats, and lots of Halloween fun. Students and families enjoyed visiting festively decorated trucks hosted by Woodland staff, community members, and our friends at Dean's Transportation. Creativity was on full display, with trunks featuring a fortune teller, pirates, Detroit Lions fans, Cookie Monster, and more! A big thanks to everyone who participated and to RJ's Dog House food truck for bringing their delicious food to the event. #WeAreSCCRESA #TrunkOrTreat
