St. Clair County families can still enroll their four-year-old in free, high-quality preschool for the 2025-2026 school year through Michigan’s PreK for All initiative. A limited number of openings remain in the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) at locations throughout the county.
“PreK for All provides a strong start for every child,” said Becky Gorinac, Director of Early Childhood Services at St. Clair County RESA. “Children who attend high-quality preschool programs develop stronger emotional, social, and academic skills, laying the foundation for success in kindergarten and beyond.”
A no-cost opportunity for all families
Michigan’s PreK for All initiative ensures that all children who will be four by December 1, 2025, can qualify for free preschool, regardless of household income. GSRP classrooms across St. Clair County are led by state-certified teachers and designed to nurture a child’s natural curiosity while supporting early literacy, math, and social-emotional growth.
Before- and after-school extended care (available for a fee or through a child care scholarship) and transportation are offered at some locations.
