Congratulations to Kris Murphy as she prepares for a well-deserved retirement after 20 years of service to St. Clair County RESA. Kris is truly one of our #WeAreSCCRESA rockstars. Throughout her two decades with RESA, and most recently as Executive Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent, she has brought exceptional dedication, professionalism, kindness, and care to everything she does. Her steady presence, commitment to our organization, and support of the people around her have made a difference in more ways than we can count.
Her dedication, professionalism, and diligence have made a lasting impact on our organization and community. We are grateful for her many contributions and wish her all the best in retirement!
We are incredibly grateful for all that Kris has given to RESA over the years, and while we are excited about all that retirement has in store for her, we are certainly going to miss her! Please help us celebrate Kris in the comments below and wish her the best.

A BIG thank you to our IT Department summer interns! In addition to handling everyday support needs, they helped tackle some unexpected challenges. From setting up satellite workstations for staff temporarily relocated during construction at our Administration Building to helping our IT team navigate a significant outage, they brought flexibility, dedication, and an eagerness to help whenever needed.
We're grateful for all of their hard work and contributions this summer. Thank you for being a valuable part of the #WeAreSCCRESA team!

Today, we honor Women’s Equality Day, commemorating the certification of the 19th Amendment in 1920, which granted women the right to vote. This day reminds us of the courage, determination, and resilience of those who fought for gender equality. At St. Clair County RESA, we are proud to recognize and uplift the contributions of women in education, leadership, and every part of our community. 💜#WomensEqualityDay #WeAreSCCRESA

Sunshine, smiles, and a little time on the water made for some special memories for our Woodland Developmental Center students. A HUGE thanks to Happy Day Fishing Camp and the Stahl Family for welcoming several of our Woodland post-secondary classrooms this summer. Students were able to enjoy the outdoors, experience fishing, and spend time together in a warm, supportive, and inclusive setting.
We're also grateful to the local first responders who stopped by to visit our students during their Fill the Boot fundraiser.
Thank you to everyone who made these days possible!

We're grateful for the opportunity to connect with families as they prepare for an exciting new school year. At Blue Water Community Action's Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway last week, our Truancy Interventionist/Homeless Coordinator, Ari McCoy, shared resources on school attendance and support for families experiencing housing instability. She was joined by Jessica Malburg, School Success Coordinator with NorServ Group.
Students were able to pick out a water bottle and customize it with stickers donated by our employee-funded Families In Need Committee.
