We're looking for an Engineering & Robotics Instructor to join our #WeAreSCCRESA team. As the Engineering & Robotics Instructor at St. Clair County TEC, you'll deliver career and technical education to 11th- and 12th-grade students, focusing on the interdisciplinary field of engineering and robotics. This program integrates multiple engineering disciplines, equipping students with the skills to combine electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, and programming. Students apply these concepts to design and develop cost-effective, energy-efficient, and reliable automated systems for industrial, medical, and residential environments, as well as for modern transportation systems.
Qualifications:
• Two or more years with a minimum of 4,000 hours of recent relevant work experience, and must begin an approved CTE teacher training program within the first three years of employment.
• The ideal candidate will possess a Michigan secondary CTE teaching certificate in Mechatronics CIP 14.4201

Last week, students from our Middle School Innovation Academy wrapped up the semester by sharing their final projects with a panel of experts and community representatives. This semester, students took on the challenge, "How might we get more kids engaging with wildlife in wild places?" Thirty-two students from various St. Clair County school districts participated in the Academy. Their innovative ideas showcased creativity, collaboration, and a commitment to our local community. Students and staff from St. Clair TEC's Academy of Style helped make prom night extra special for five Port Huron High School students through the "Prom Experience" community event. TEC's Cosmetology program students provided hair styling services to help each student feel confident and pampered before their big night. The Prom Experience included formal attire, professional photography, limousine transportation, hair and nail services, and more. The event was made possible by various community partners. St. Clair TEC students had the opportunity to explore future careers in the skilled trades at the Blue Water Building Trades Career Fair on May 13 at Goodells County Park. Students connected with industry professionals and participated in hands-on exhibits showcasing the many pathways available in the trades.
