St. Clair County TEC held its Fall Advisory Committee meetings earlier this month. The meetings allow instructors to hear from business professionals firsthand and gain valuable insights on how to keep their programs current and aligned with business and industry standards and trends. The evening started with a meal prepared and served by Culinary Arts students. Thank you to all who donated their time and expertise! #WeAreSCCRESA

Today, we thank the dedicated paraprofessionals, secretaries, bus drivers, food service workers, custodians, and other support staff who help schools run smoothly. #EducatioSupportProfessionalsDay #WeAreSCCRESA

On November 6, students in St. Clair TEC's Digital Media program attended the annual Great Lakes Broadcast and Sports Media Academy at Ford Field. The event brings together Michigan's top talent in television, radio, and sports media. Students had the opportunity to connect with industry professionals, explore careers, practice on-air techniques, and gain insights into the world of broadcast journalism and production. Experiences like these help students explore careers and network with industry professionals. #CTE #CareerandTechnicalEducation #WeAreSCCRESA

🏆We're so excited to share that we have earned Parents as Teachers Blue Ribbon Affiliate status for our Great Start Home Visiting Program. This is the organization's highest recognition of quality and fidelity standards. The reason we work hard to bring the very best every day? Because we're committed to building strong communities, thriving families, and children who are healthy, safe, and learning. 🧡

✨ Students in the Explorer class at our Next Step Transition Program are spreading kindness and brightening the world with their new micro-enterprise, "Bright Abilities." Under the guidance of teacher Karolynn Poff, students hand-pour each candle using coconut wax and essential oils while learning workplace, communication, and life skills. Last week, they set up shop in RESA's Administration Building, where they sold their candles to RESA staff. The experience helped students practice teamwork, customer service, and financial literacy while building confidence and independence. #BrightAbilities #PortraitOfALearner #WeAreSCCRESA

Today, we express gratitude to all who have served in the United States Armed Forces and honor their courage and sacrifice. #VeteransDay #WeAreSCCRESA
